Below is an e-mail received from a former D.A.R.E. student about Officer Kenneth Briggs.

Officer Kenneth Briggs was a D.A.R.E. Officer in Kansas City, Ks. before they cut the program from schools there.  My brother, sister and I looked up to him and none of us ever touched a drug in our lives. I think he was a big part of that and I wanted his family to know how important the work he did was to a lot of young people. I am 23 and we are all grown now, but still thought of him often through the years.
