Five moms is a great resource of information about the abuse of cough medicine by teenagers. Cough Medicine (Skittles) is an ongoing problem in many schools. If you need resource to combat these problems please check out the above website.

The above website is a great resource for information about the choking game. Carrie Draher is a mother of a survivor of the choking game and she is available to come to schools and talk about her experience and the dangers of the choking game. Kansas is privileged to have a very active meth prevention project working in our state. You can get videos, brochures, prevention materials from this website. A great resource for fighting the meth problem in your schools. They also have a great community resource for businesses at www.kansasmethwatch.com

GANG QUESTIONS:            www.kgiakansas.com

If you have gang issues come up in your community and are not fortunate to have a gang unit in your area then you can address your questions to the Kansas Gang Intelligence Association. They have a place on the website for you to ask your questions and they will respond to you. A very useful tool for SROs.

 

STARTING A CRIMESTOPPERS PROGRAM:     www.kansascrimestoppers.com

Have you thought about starting a crime-stoppers program in your school. The members on this board can assist you with the information you need to get started. Plus once a year they put on a Scholastic Crime-Stoppers Conference free to attend. They are a great resource.
